Fluid art is a like a voyage of discovery. The artist may exert some level of control over the journey, but at a certain point the paint and the canvas begin an intricate dance that always surprises and delights.
The “Here Be Dragons” series of three paintings show how one can use the same palette and technique and yet end up with three very different, unique paintings.
Far be it from me to tell viewers what they should see in these paintings, but I saw dragons, and shadows of dragons. You may see a myriad of other surprises. In fact, you may continue to see different gems emerge as often as you gaze.
There is no way for an artist to accurately duplicate a fluid art painting as the variables are too numerous. This makes for a truly unique piece of art. The paintings are signed and dated and a hanging claw is attached for ease of hanging using just a small nail.

“Chickadee” (not for sale) Watercolour. This was painted as a gift for my partner Bill. We both love our chickadees.
“Gold Fish” began with an acrylic fluid art piece. You can never be too sure how these pieces will turn out, but after studying it for a while it seemed like it needed a goldfish, so I added one. Price $45
“Tortula” is a fairly large painting. A lot of it’s charm is in the great amount of detail. It is easy to start in one corner and take a trip through many scenes and stories. It is a framed piece. Price $850.
