I am a singer, musician, and songwriter. I have released 3 CDs and have one in the works. To purchase a CD, just send me an email.
If you live in the Dawson Creek, BC, Canada area – I’ll deliver the CD to you. If not, I’ll mail it to you.
Streaming services are robbing independent music creators. They pay pennies, if at all and we have only their word for whether we’re getting paid for every stream.
Please join the ‘slow music’ revolution – send me an email – tell me where you live – I’ll figure out the postage – you send an e-transfer – and I’ll package the CD up and mail it to you. The only drawback you have to deal with is how fast the postal service gets it to you. But really, isn’t it kinda fun to get a package in the mail?
I’m not a corporation trying to make millions by ‘middle-manning’ other people’s hard work and creativity. I’m a person, just trying to connect with fans and make a few dollars to cover costs and maybe buy a coffee and some TimBits to share with my musician friends… (I think you have to be Canadian to get the TimBits reference, sorry).
Discography:
New Traditions

New Traditions is my first CD and contains a dozen original songs in the style of old traditional music from the British Isles. Have a listen to a couple of the songs from this CD.
Onward
Onward is a lively ballad that celebrates how life rolls on (with or without our consent).
Faerie Hill
Inspired by an old folk tune about young girls being spirited away by fairies, this song almost had a different ending. Thanks to some suggestions from Bill Henderson (Chilliwack, UHF) at a songwriting workshop, I added a little twist. Hope you enjoy it.
Breathe

Breathe is a more blues-y, jazzy, pop-ish kinda music. (I suck at identifying genres!) All original music.
Frozen Heart
My drummer for this CD, Greg Wandling (SofaKing), was always amazed that I could write a jazz tune with the word ‘Mastodon’ in it. So, not your usual fare. Have a listen.
I’m Not Finished Crying Yet
This song was a bit of a revolt against the cult of victimhood that has spawned so many ‘broken heart’ songs where the woman is portrayed as a helpless victim of love lost (or unrequited). I love playing this one live and seeing the looks on the audience’s faces when the “in your face” twist happens.
This Christmas

‘This Christmas’ is, obviously, our Christmas CD. Over the years I and my partner Bill have penned several seasonal tunes and it was time to get them organized in one place! These songs have been played at many a Christmas Concert.
A Place at the Table
‘A Place at the Table’ is a theme song that Bill and I wrote 25 years ago for the first “A Place at the Table” benefit concert. This concert has raised many thousands of dollars for Salvation Army food hampers, and, aside from a couple of years during Covid, has run here in Dawson Creek, BC every December since 2000.
Peace Country Christmas
This song was written and sung by my partner, Bill Studley. Music brought us together nearly 40 years ago and still is a major part of our lives. We live in an area in Northeastern British Columbia, Canada that is call ‘The Peace Country’. Did I say ‘area’? You could drop Scotland into the Peace and have lot’sa room left over. (Actually that’s not a bad idea. We visited Scotland a few years back and LOVED it!) Anyway… Peace Country Christmas is a homey tune that brings back a sweeter, kinder traditional country style Christmas.
What’s Next?
We are currently recording a new CD. I’ve given up setting deadlines – it’ll be done just as soon as it’s done. But I’ll post it here as soon as that happens.
