Not long after “Falling Awake” came out I was contacted by a very talented choral composer, Marie-Claire Sandon. She had received a copy of the book from her aunt, a dear friend of mine, and wanted to put one of the poems to music.

Well, I know as much about choral music as I know about rocket science… but I was thrilled and pleased that one of my little poems was going to “make good”!

At the time of this writing, Marie-Claire has put 4 of my poems to music and I just sent her an advance e-book of the second book of poetry (not yet published), so perhaps there will be more.

I love that my poems go out into the world like ambitious children, to make their way in who knows what form.
