The Now

Look in, look inside
Something hides behind the pain
Perhaps it is joy.

Stand up, stand up straight
Something new is beginning
That makes life worthwhile.

Step out, step away
Something is coming closer
Every moment.

Run, run to meet life
Embrace newness each morning
Your heart is beating.

Doubt

Foolishness accepts
only the facts that support
its myopic lens.

Realists believe
their version of what is real
is the only truth.

Dreamers just ignore
anything that doesn’t fit
their beautiful dream.

Wise ones know that they
will never have all the facts.
Wisdom always doubts.

Wake Up Now Dreamer

Wake up now dreamer
leave your nightmare far behind
know that you are loved.

Wake up now dreamer
your life is waiting for you
to catch up to it.

Wake up now dreamer
bad dreams are not sticks or stones
they cannot hurt you.

Wake up now dreamer
always I’ve been by your side
always I will be.

The Unreasonable Request

Yes, I can say ‘no.’
I can dig in my heels but
is it worth the fight?

No, I won’t say yes.
Reasons are subjective but
I’m not your subject.

Maybe there’s a place
somewhere in the middle ground
where we can agree.

Yes, no, and maybe.
Will we meet in the middle
or shall I go home?
