April Morning
I
Morning light on snow
My sense of humour fails me
Is it Spring or not?
II
I imagine geese
who just honked in from parts south
shaking their slim heads
III
And the red robin,
perhaps somewhere turning blue.
April morning sigh.

The robin birds standing in disconsolate groups along the sides of the road, too wet to fly and too short to snow wade. A scene from 1986, Pouce Coupe, British Columbia, spring so short and birds so sad.
I see we have some images in common Margo! Thanks for commenting, it’s really nice to make a connection with a poem. 🙂
