Can't Put the Pen Down…

The Art of Misdirection

Next time you notice me revving my brain
before engaging my heart,
hold me close, spin me ‘round, laugh at me, make
me happy instead of smart.

Next time my eyes seem blind to the beauty
surrounding us every day
tickle me, shine a strong light through a prism
to dazzled my darkness away.

Next time the rats start winning the race,
and putting us into a bind,
kiss me quick, dance with me, buy me a cat,
and move the finish line.

  1. …’move the finish line…’ Love it!

  2. Of course, I’d be happy to 🙂

  3. This is the letter I want all my loved ones to read. I want to share it if you wouldn’t mind.

Thank you for sharing it here, this is what we really should say, and you managed to say it so tenderly.

    Love & Peace,

    • I am always so pleased when something I write strikes a chord for someone. Please go ahead and share with your loved ones, I only ask the usual, that it not be published anywhere without accreditation. Thank you for visiting and I hope you’ll come back again soon.
